BPG provides consumer-centric services to help real estate professionals,
buyers and sellers in their real estate transactions. The Company has
been providing home warranties since 1987, and home inspections since
1989. BPG purchased LandAmerica Home Warranty and LandAmerica Property
Inspections in November 2009.
BPG is headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia and operates in 14 states
with a focus on the top 25 housing markets. The Company manages a network
of approximately 300 employees (including employee inspectors), affiliates,
and technology to deliver home warranties, home inspections, commercial
and multi-family inspections, reserve studies, property disclosure reports,
radon testing and monitoring, and pest inspections.
BPG Home Warranty Company is domiciled in California and is subject
to oversight by the California Department of Insurance -- including
maintaining cash reserves for all outstanding contracts, and undergoing
periodic claims and operations audits. The Company is a charter member
of the National Home Service Contract Association (NHSCA) and is currently
ranked in the top 10 home warranty providers based on contracts in force.
BPG Home Inspections, Inc. is the largest employee-based home inspection
company in the country. All inspectors are employed by BPG and their
work is covered under the company’s general liability and E&O policy
which covers referring REALTORS for claims arising from the inspection.
In addition, BPG operates an affiliate program which includes approximately
500 independent inspectors who are available for BPG work in secondary
(smaller) markets
